Draw Tite™ Primer - Clear No Run is a penetrating sealer/primer with a remarkable achievement in water-based technology. It adheres in one coat to porous or non porous surfaces such as semi and high gloss enamel, and vinyl wallcoverings. Because of its high water resistance, it is excellent as a vinyl to vinyl primer. It is quick drying, odorless, and improves the bond of adhesives and patching compounds. Draw Tite™ Primer - Clear No Run will prevent the surface from absorbing water either from paint, drywall mud, or wallpaper paste. I apply this product on the back of my primed canvas. It prevents the canvas from shrinking, which can happen when painting with water-based paints. Because Draw Tite™ Primer - Clear No Run is clear in color, at FauxFilled Dreams we will mix one part Draw Tite™ Clear No Run and one part quality water-based paint. This serves as a primer and a base coat in one step. It works well on painted or raw dry wall and wood surfaces. This low odor, nonflammable primer/sealer is an ideal substitute for shellac or alkyd-based products.
