STONE FX
A permanent, industrial quality texture product used to create faux textures such as faux stone finishes, bricks, aged plaster, and is an excellent substrate for many different Venetian plaster effects. Any type of texturing can be achieved with Stone FX, including faux stone painting.

SUEDE FX is fine grained porcelain beads that, when mixed with flat paint, will totally engulf themselves in the paint to achieve a slightly textured, suede look. This suede additive will create beautiful old world wall effects and Venetian plaster effects for much less money than you may spend on comparable products. I also used it to create the grout or mortar look on my stone walls. How about using it to create depth in your faux bricks? The number of uses are only limited by your imagination.

WHIPPED TEXTURE 

Whipped Texture is used to faux textures such as stone walls, aged plaster, stamped plasters and embossed plasters. It is a thick, durable, white texture that can be mixed with acrylic paint or tints for impasto painting. Since it is thick and durable with high amounts of binders, it can be use as a collage adhesive or for attaching small objects such as stones, sea shells, twigs, jewelry, or three dimensional objects.

The thicker you apply this product the more it will crack giving it that aged plaster or stone look that is so desirable today. It can be build up with layers to create a bas relief or used to create dimension in a raised stencil effect.

It has a smooth whipped cream feel with no grit but is durable enough for kitchens and bathrooms when sealed. Whipped Texture is opaque and will alter the color of paint. It is suitable for interior use only.

Coverage: 100 to 200 square feet per gallon

Metal Additive

One of our most popular faux finish products, the Metal Additive can be added to any paint or primer therefore producing a metal surface on any wall. Use on any smooth surface where you would use latex paint. The additive is lead free. When added to a water-based paint or primer, it conforms to environment VOC regulations, produces low order, and has easy clean up and application.  This product can also be used as magnetic paint for crafts.

It looks like an ordinary painted wall and you can faux finish it. The difference is that it is a magnetically receptive surface where anything can be hung on the wall with magnets. There is no need for push pins, nails glues, or screws.

Jim has law degrees that he wanted hung on the wall. Each degree is on a wooden plaque and weighs 3 pounds. I painted the wall with two coats of the Metal Additive and did a metallic wax over it. Magnetic sheeting was taped to the back of the wooden plaques. They proudly hang with no attachment other than the magnet.

I can’t seem to keep the plaques straight since everyone from the Mayor of Poplar Bluff to the local plumber has to take them off the wall, inspect them, and hang them up again. It gives me a chuckle when I walk into the room, see the crooked plaques, and realize that someone has come in to check out the wall.

The additive itself is not magnetic so it will not affect your computer, pace maker or other magnetically sensitive equipment. It is made for indoor use only and should be used in areas that are free of moisture and condensation. It must be stored in a dry container and kept in a dry environment.

Multiple coats increase magnetic receptability. The more the magnet is to hold the more layers of the Metal Additive paint must be applied. If a surface is light weight but has considerable depth, more coats may be required.

Metal Additive will darken your paint slightly so start with a lighter, brighter color or add it to your primer, let dry and then paint your favorite color over it. Never finish a wall with this additive without making a sample board first to determine the actual color.

I started with a color called Mulberry Wine by Behr. It was about the color of a raspberry. When I added the Metal Additive, it darkened the original paint color and became a lighter version of a plum. When that dried, I brushed on Bronze Metallic Wax. It is gorgeous and appeals to both men and women.  The magnetic wall KIT is a great starter.

MarmoLustre Sample Kit
 

Marmo Lustre is a slightly textured, decorative medium which provides a luster similar to polished stone. As you move about the room, the lustre "follows" you. The light reflects off the MarmoLustre at different levels giving different looks from every part of the room. When combined with Suede Effect the luster is even more dramatic.

This luxurious faux paint product has the aesthetic qualities that top designers want for their more discriminating clients. The characteristic of this product can replicate high end Venetian plaster without the cost.
