Faux Finish Stipple Brush

The faux finish stipple brush is made of durable nylon fibers. Unlike other softening brushes made of natural fibers, it can be washed, dried with a cloth, and used again immediately. The faux finish stipple brush can be manipulated to create its own distinct faux finish, to soften brush strokes, or to apply paint in a popular European fashion called Lazure. The Waldorf Schools use the Lazure method to promote the creative thinking of their younger students.

Mural Brush Kit

Hake Brush

A hake brush is an oriental-style wash brush on a long flat handle. It is useful for laying in large areas of water or color, for wetting the surface, and for absorbing excess media.

Flogger Brushes

A Flogger Brush is the tool that creates open, diagonal and horizontal pores in faux finished wood graining. It is also manipulated in a manner to soften and blend. The flogger may be used with oil, acrylic, or latex paints and glazes.

Badger Brush

A Badger Hair Brush is the tool used for softening and blending.  It is used in marbling and fine faux finishing.

Stencil Brushes

Stencil brushes are round, tight brushes that are used to stipple paint, waxes and other colorants into a stencil. They can be used with oil, acrylic, or latex paints.

Chip Brushes

These handy, inexpensive paint brushes can be useful in all fields of work for less demanding applications. These chip brushes are made of undyed hog bristles that are securely locked in epoxy cement. Great for faux paint finishes.

Sea Sponges (Sea Wool)

The very best in sea wool sponges.  Sea  wool sponges are the professional's choice for faux finish applications. 
 

Specialty Trowel

These stainless steel trowels are perfect for application of Venetian Plaster, metallic wax, and other textures.  The blade is thin with rounded corners, giving the applicator complete control for applying very thin "skim" coats.  The handle is made of rubber providing a softer grip, helping to prevent blisters.

Magnesium Hawk

Use the very best for application of Venetian plasters and cementatious products.  The hawk gives you a platform to hold your product while you work with the trowel or japan scraper.  Since it is made from lightweight magnesium, your arm won't tire as quickly as with other products and it won't rust.

Green Painter’s Tape

Green Painters Tape is a low tack tape so it will not pull the paint off the surface or leave an adhesive residue on the surface. It is available in 1/4 inch, 1 inch, and 2 inch widths. The 1/4 inch width is great for making grout lines when creating a stone wall effect or any effect that requires a narrow, straight edge.

If you have applied a previous coat of paint within 24 hours, you should use the green painter’s tape. If the previous application has been allowed to dry for three days, the blue painter’s tape can be used.

Polystyrene Sample Boards

Ideal medium for your sample boards as it is strong, durable, and pliable. A polystyrene sample board will last much longer than poster board, and is lighter than wood. Please note that the minimum order for cut sheets is 10 sheets.

Brush Scrubber

An ideal tool for cleaning your brushes. Drawing the bristles of a brush over the nubs of the brush scrubber gets the paint out of the inside of the brush. A must for the serious professional who values her tools.

Latex Gloves

Dermatouch Plus Gloves are latex gloves with a light powder on the inside. They are strong enough for faux finishing, texturing, Venetian plaster, and mural work alike. A box contains 100 gloves. The sizes are:
Small   -     2 1/2" to 2 3/4" palm width, Medium -  3" to 3 1/2" palm width,  Large    -     3 3/4" and larger palm widths
